Scholarship Benefits
A doctoral studentship will provide:
- An annual bursary (£16,000 in 2022/22).
- Students from the United Kingdom and the European Union pay the full tuition charge. International candidates are encouraged to apply, but they must make sufficient plans to cover the difference between the international and domestic tuition fees.

- Eligible Countries: Applications are accepted from around the world.
- Acceptable Course or Subjects: Studentships are awarded in the subjects offered by the university.
- Admissible Criteria: To be eligible, applicants must have to meet the following criteria:
- Hold an excellent honors degree in a relevant field (usually no less than a second class honors degree or comparable certification). If the first degree is in a different subject area, a university may consider applications from persons who have an excellent Master’s Degree in a relevant field or considerable practical experience in the proposed research area.

- Applicants are highly urged to discuss their applications in advance with a possible supervisor in the School in order to apply for the studentships. Civil engineering, mechanical engineering, and aeronautics, as well as mathematics, computer science, and library and information science, are all areas of study. - Candidates must submit all relevant documentation, including a research proposal (Guide to Writing a Research Proposal), official English translations of degree certificates and transcripts, official work e-mail addresses for two referees, and a passport.
- The studentships will be granted based on exceptional academic accomplishment and the ability to conduct cutting-edge research.
- If English is not your first language, you must present proof of English language competency (minimum average score of 6.5 IELTS, with a minimum of 6.0 in each of the four components).
